Food:
The upper compartment is FDA-approved which makes it safe for eating for your children and pets. The compartment can serve as storage for meal bars, cereal, or bagged dried fruit and nuts. The dish component is removable and can be cleaned using warm, soapy water. Do not use abrasives or scouring pads.

Medications:
There are over 30 pharmacological, heart, and diabetic medications that must be refrigerated to maintain its biological integrity and prescription strength. The main body compartment is surrounded by a double walled cavity that contains Ameri-Gel. The gel is non-toxic and the double walled construction prevent leakage into the main body and other compartments of the MedMate unit.

Once the gel reaches it optimal temperature (by residing in the freezer for 3 hours), it can radiate coolness into the main compartment for up to 72 hours. This is especially critical for those persons who are traveling, have experienced a power outage, or are residing in hotels, outdoor venues, and anyplace where electricity is not consistently supplied.
